Quick and simple Christmas Cards
Crafting with glitter always takes me back to being a child but I am not quite ready to let my children loose with some. So this week, when they were in bed I broke out the PVA glue and the sparkly stuff and made these quick and simple Christmas cards. I am really pleased with how easy they were (they literally took less than a minute each) and they look really effective.
You will need:
- Blank Cards or card for folding.
- PVA glue
- Glitter (I used two colours mixed together of the really fine glitter)
Take your card and fold if necessary. Decide what you want to draw or write and ‘paint’ the design on in glue. My glue has a nifty nozzle so I just used it like a pen.
Sprinkle on the glitter. I used an old cereal box with one side cut off to do this so I didn’t waste glitter. I still made a mess though.
Pop your cards somewhere to dry and sit back and admire your handiwork while you shine as the glitter you got all over yourself reflects the lights on the Christmas tree.
This one was my favourite, I just loved the way it turned out.
I have entered my cards in the Money Supermarket Christmas Card Craft Off competition too!

They look lovely. And you can call it PVA glue as much as you like but we all know it’s ‘gloopy glue’!
Gloopy glue indeed. or when I was at school just ‘Glue’!
They look great. I have a mass of glitter glue I might just copy and use that!
I would love to see how they turn out if you have a go. I don’t have any glitter glue, I was wondering if it would be glittery enough. Not as messy though and I would let Piran have a go then.
They look fab!
Thank you, they are now on their way to the lucky recipients!
