Seven Wonderful Years
Yesterday marked seven years since Mr C took me for a drink at lunchtime. Each year I think Wow, I could never imagined that that would be the start of this. And each year something has changed and is better and our life has grown and I am so happy to be here with him.
The past year was the hardest for us a couple. Lots of the year spent apart and the time that we had together was full of children that do not sleep, conflicting wants and needs when it came to filling our down time and very little free time for anything let alone things that we can do together.
That has all changed for now and he is home and we are finding our feet again, settling back into a routine and it feels just wonderful. We had planned to get out and spend an evening together yesterday but snow and a horrible cold put an end to that. After a wedding anniversary spent apart last year I for one was just happy to be together.
You are stronger for working at your marriage. It doesn’t come easy to any of us, but the ones that survive are the ones that make an effort. Everything is always better when you are together. I sing that song all the time
Thank you for reminding me of that song. It is one that we used to listen to a lot seven years ago when we were just getting together and everything was new and wonderful.
