Just Big Enough Blanket – WIP

2013 November 22
by Kelly

It’s taken a while since the Too Big Blanket for me to start another one that is bigger than new baby size. But I really missed having a big crochet project so this is what I am working on for Mr C’s Christmas present. Tonight I worked out how far I had got and what I need to do to get it done by Christmas!

I am doing this in moss stitch (I think that is what it is called) granite stitch according to my crochet advisor. It is so easy, just dc, ch1, dc, ch1 with the dc in the chain space from the previous row. It is really easy and feels rhythmic and lovely to make. Eats yarn though! But I love the way it almost looks knitted (especially because I’m not a very good knitter!)

Beautiful blanket! I’m Crocheting a blanket for the baby, just dc, but yours looks much less scrappy!
