A letter to my blog

September 2, 2013

Dear Poor Neglected Blog,

Hello. How are you? Bored you say? Lonely? Yes sorry about that.

It turns out that when you have children summer becomes something more than just nice weather and a reason to drink lots of Rose wine. Summer takes over your life and your home and everything becomes so busy. And outside. And this year we had lots of sun. And it hardly rained at all.

Don’t worry, you are not alone. I have definitely neglected the computer, any kind of cleaning of the house and even my sewing machine to some extent. Yep, even that.

And I know that I sorta missed your birthday. You turned 8 in July and I didn’t so much as send you a card. In my defence it was my birthday and then Mr C turned 40 and Piran turned 4 and before I knew it it was August and I had completely missed my our chance to celebrate.

I am truly sorry about the whole thing. And yes, my posts have basically just been pictures of me and my family out enjoying our summer which could be seen as rubbing my absence in your face a little so I am very, very apologetic for that.

I want to make it up to you though. I am thinking a bit of a makeover perhaps? Some posts with actual words in? How about a sewing tutorial or two? A giveaway? I may even treat you to a new header.

You have stuck with me through thick and thin and I just want you to know that I appreciate it. And I promise I will do better.

Maybe not this week though because it seems we have a week of lovely weather and Autumn is on its way and that is my favourite time to be outdoors. But soon I promise.

Lots of love,

Thanks to Heather for the fairy birthday card.

Oh of course but the blog is very important for my mental state too. It has been so long that it is a way of life to me and not writing has been hard. Hopefully with a new routine will come more time.
