Welcome to A place of my own.
My name is Kelly and I have been blogging since July 2005. Originally my blog was called Random Outpourings of my Mixed Up Mind, and I was anonymous writing under the name ‘Dancinfairy’. A couple years later
people had found out about my blog I got drunk and told everyone about my blog. I was finding it hard to write so in the end I started a second anonymous blog – A place of my own. Over the last five years I have dropped the pseudonym, come clean about who I am and embraced being open and honest about my little part of the internet. Well, as much as I can. I think my parents know about it but I have no real idea if they ever read it or even have any idea what it is about!
In September 2012 I have finally taken the plunge and moved my blog to a self hosted wordpress one. I am still expecting it to blow up at any moment but so far so good. One thing I am thrilled about is the fact that I have managed to move all posts from both of my previous blogs and now everything is all in one place. Over my two blogs I have charted my life over the last few years – being single, meeting my husband, getting engaged and married and then becoming a mum. I write to unload and let go of things that cram my head. I write to record my life and that of my family. I am 34 years old and married to Mr C. I am mum to Piran who was born in August 2009, and Kate who was born in May 2011. I love blogging, photography and being creative. I am learning to adjust to being a mum to two small children, manage my PND, working and looking after my family and this is where I try to make sense of it all.
Thank you for reading.
