Bits of this and that.

March 3, 2006

Found the lost posts. You can read them here and here. I was completely all over the place on Wednesday it would seem.

Congratulations to Leonie for winning the Shit Self Portrait Competition. I am sorry that there can only be one winner – I loved all of your pictures. My personal favourites were Anne (for the pretty eyelashes) and Running 42k (for some reason this one made me laugh the most when it was being drawn!). I would like the prize to be a surprise for Leonie but I promise to write a post in a week or so when she has received it and reveal all.

I am so happy that it is Friday. Lots to look forward to this weekend.

There are changes ahead (this is a pun, or at least it will be when I explain next week).

There is an afternoon out with Paul. I am getting out of the city into the country. Lovely.

There is a night out with my favourite people. They will all meet my new man. I will probably be more nervous than he will.

There are 2 lovely people coming up to visit from Cornwall which will be very cool and much fun!

All together people, after 3

“Woo Hoo Weekend”

Hope you all have a supercalifragilisticexpealidocious time :o)

    Your weekend sounds terrific.

I did wonder when you said “get out of the city”. I was looking out the window at all the hills thinking “this is the country!”. Then I remembered that you don’t live here.

I didn’t think I was going out tomorrow night. I must be though because you said you were going out with your favourite people.

I made you laugh? Should I be offended?

Well done Leonie! That was a cool competition, more please Kel – I promise not to actually follow the instructions next time, I still don’t know why I was drawing blanks…

Have a great weekend! Yay, it’s the weekend… oh bollocks, I’m working tomorrow. And Sunday. Pah.

I still can’t believe soulmining didn’t win. I found his work to be esoteric, yet oddly accesible, and to take a postmodern slant to that age old question “but what is a portrait? No, I mean, really ?” which was unique amongst the entries.

I suppose perhaps he is just ahead of his times. Later generations will recognise his genius.
