Blogtacular in official pictures

May 14, 2014

I have come to the conclusion that there will just have to be more than one post about Blogtacular for me. So I am starting today with my favourite official photographs that sum up the two days for me. All images were taken by Will Ireland and I am able to share them with you with thanks and credit to Mollie Makes. Which I think is a genius idea as I was too busy enjoying myself to take many pictures – other than on the #blogtacularphotowalk and that needs a whole other post!

Hello it’s Gemma, me and Heather Young. I am loving my new hair (so shallow!)

The wonderful Kat Molesworth opening the conference.

I attended the photowalk run by Xanthe Berkley and it was so much fun. Bloggers and balloons a winning combination.

I met and spoke to Tilly Walnes. I didn't make a complete fool of myself. She even signed my copy of her book and gave me fabric advice for my first Coco.

I went to the Styling session with Ellie Tennant which I really enjoyed – so much information to take in but will definitely help me when I am photographing the things I have made.

Heather was on the Secrets of the Editors panel and she was really very good indeed.

The whole of Natalie Lue's closing keynote was inspiring but this was my favourite quote.

And then it was the end. I properly loved being at this venue I have watched the Christmas Lectures for years so it was very exciting sitting in these seats.

Kat getting one last shot of us all. It was by far the best conference I have been to. You must all go next year.

Be warned I have at least 2 more posts that I want to write. My brain hasn’t stopped whirring since I returned and I want to capture how it feels. I have to go and sort washing first though. Pah #reallife.

It looked like a fantastic event. I feel too young (in blogging terms) to attend an event like that. Maybe next year!

I honestly don’t think there is such a thing as being too young. There was definitely a real mix.

There is so much to process afterward isn’t there. In a good way though, not in a feeling overwhelmed way which is positive.

Hopefully next year it will be on a weekend I can go to. I had a family christening.

Fingers crossed. I will definitely be there if I can.

It looks and sounds like you had an amazing time, I can’t wait to hear more! I must admit that I loved following the hashtag on the day and found lots of lovely new people to follow on Instagram as a result 🙂

That’s great, normally I get a bit fed up of lots of tweets from conferences but I too found loads of people on Twitter and IG to follow which is nice.

It looks like you had a great time (and yes, hair is looking fab!) I’m always terrified of any bloggers conference – hence never having been to any – but I like that this appears smaller and more personal than others. Maybe next year…
