City & Guilds Textiles – Patchwork & Quilting: Summer School

June 27, 2016

I have reached the end of the first year of my City and Guilds. I cannot begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed it and how hard I have worked this year. I am gutted that I haven’t recorded it from start to finish but I might try and go back and fill in the blanks – I posted once about my sketchbook when it was up to page 15 and now I am onto my second sketchbook.

But last week was Summer School – 4 full days of college last week. I created Snap stories on Snapchat every day and downloaded them into slightly dodgy videos. They are not great but I wanted to record them here for prosterity.

Unfortunately I shot them portrait and I cannot get them to embed correctly on this page.

If you are interested please click Monday to go to Vimeo and see what I got up to on our first day last week. Our topics were Faux Chenille and Shadow Applique.

My shadow applique before I started stitching.

I would love to know what you think and hope that you will pop back to see Tuesday – Thursday as I publish them this week.
