Well I know this post is like 4 days overdue but this weekend was a big drunken messy one and yesterday at work was a continuation of last Friday’s ‘I am so busy I think my head is going to explode and I swear to god if someone else asks me another question that is so simple that they were taught it before they even had lunch on the first day my head will actually explode POP and spray you with mess and then you will be sorry’ so I am only now getting round to it.
So Thurday night was my first night of my Vocal Coaching course at a local college. As I said in my previous post I was completely scared out of my mind! I was one of the first people there (as usual – I hate being late). In the end there were 15 of us. There is a real mix of men and women and different ages.
Most of Thursday was taken up with paperwork and the like, but we started with the theory and stuff – the diagphram, the larynx, our posture, where we feel the notes when we sing.
We did actually sing in a group for about 15 mins at the end. I had relaxed quite a bit by then so I actually qite enjoyed it. I was happy because the tutor kept saying to the guy on my left “Don’t look so petrified” so I guess that next to him I actually looked kinda relaxed.
I still have no idea if I can sing but I did 30 mins practice last night and I really enjoyed it! So watch this space and I will keep you informed!!!
