David Walliams Naked

December 15, 2005

I had a really fun night last night. Myself, Adz and Miggyman went to see Little Britain Live at the Brighton Centre. By coincidence, Soulmining was also sat a few rows in front of us! I must admit I was a bit nervous as I really liked the first series but have to say that now it is in it’s third series I am getting a bit bored of it.

I can’t say that I laughed the whole way through, but as with all sketch shows, I have my favourite characters. However, David Walliams removing all his clothes, tucking his *ahem* man bits between his legs to pretend he was a woman was very funny. When he started jumping round the stage like a bunny too it was pure comedy gold!

They did a fake ending (when the people in front of us got up to leave to beat the crowds – silly people) then came back to do one last sketch. Part way through, just as Matt Lucas burst into song as Daffyd The Only Gay in the Village, they were interrupted by Denise Van Outen coming on stage with cameras to present them with the award for Best TV Comedy as it was the British Comedy Awards last night. So we were on TV briefly too!

I can’t help wondering what would have happened if they had interrupted the show 5 minutes before. Would David Walliams have accepted the award naked?

Oh and FYI, don’t drink two pints quickly and then get on the bus without visiting the Ladies first. It isn’t very nice.

That was Denise Van Outen presenting their award was it? I wondered who it was…

I thought it worked well live, but I preferred some of the older characters who they haven’t done for a while… some of the newer sketches were just repeats of what they’ve done on telly recently.

2 pints, no wee-wee, and a bus journey home… ooooh… I’m crossing my legs just thinking about it.

Oh dear Kelly were you trying to re-inact a scene from the show?

At least your laughing didn’t cause an accident while watching the show. One of my Idiosyncrasies is to always go to the bathroom before I leave someplace even if I don’t feel like I have to go. I think this stems from the fact that I used to have a 30 minute drive to work but if there was an accident it would take 2 hours and there have been times I have actually wanted to get out of the car and run into the woods to pee.
