January

I remember feeling that the month would never end. I forgot to call my step mum, Lin, on her birthday. Mum had her mammogram and had to go back to the hospital for further tests. The week after Lin had her routine mammogram and also had to go back. Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and Lin got the all clear.

February

Mum had her operation. My brother forgot my Dad’s birthday. Ben had his first birthday party.

March

Grandad went to Number 10 Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister.

April

Grandad had another stroke and went into hospital. I spent three days driving between home and Guildford to be with his as much as possible. He passed away in the night on the third day. My brother came and stayed with me for the funeral, as well as my Dad and Lin. It was a beautiful send off with a guard of honour and everything.

I went to Tenerife with City Girl and G#2.

May

Had a week’s holiday in Cornwall when I got back from Tenerife. I got togther with The Archeologist (Jon). G#2 came back from holiday and she and Security Guard split up. We decided that we would move in togther with G#1. Found flat and moved by the end of the month!

June

Hanging out with The Archeologist a lot. Weekend in the New Forest. Glastonbury.

July

Started my blog. Went camping with lots of family. Birthday celebrations for me and G#1. Home to Cornwall for my birthday. Terry Pratchett at the Minack. Split up with The Archeologist.

August

Back to Cornwall at the end of the month with G#2 and Rob (I can’t think of a nickname for him!) Ian Brown at the Eden project. Lovely walks and fun times. I bought a beautiful pair of shoes.
