Itsy bitsy post.

November 3, 2005

My brain is fried on flu medicine so I can only think in short bursts.

Night Nurse rocks when you are ill. It helps you sleep. Unfortunately it also makes me have MENTAL dreams that are very vivid and I walk round all day thinking did thathappen or did I dream it?

I woke myself up this morning shouting “I don’t want to hear your excuses”. I had dreamt that my step brother had pinched my rental car (?) and crashed it when he was drunk. I was very mad in my dream.

I’m too ill to go to singing class tonight but I think I might give it up anyway as I am not enjoying it.

I have given up giving up alcohol. The lure of a hot toddy was too much and I want to go to the pub tonight.

I have tomorrow off work. Woo Hoo.

Work has gone to hell in a handbasket this week but as I am in my little room doing important stuff (blogging *ahem*) it hasn’t affected me too much. Poor Customer Service Monkeys.

I have finally updated my links at the side of the page. It is in no particular orders but grouped so it makes more sense to me!

Last week I decided to cut my hair short.

This week I am not so sure.

I have my mid size flat boots on today which remind me of wellies. I will be jumping in puddles on the way home.

All the leaves are falling off the trees but it keeps raining on them so they don’t make that lovely ‘crunch’ sound when I step on them. No fair!

Karma! Someone just came and gave me a mammoth pile of work to do – serves me right for the Customer Service Monkeys comment.

10 minutes til I get to leave this place.

I’m going to the pub.

If I can stay awake.

My plan is to drink so much that my body becomes uninhabitable for germs so they move out and leave me alone.

I might not have enough petrol to get me home tonight.

Hey, I hope you feel better soon! There’s nothing worse than feeling all sick. Good thing you’re off work tomorrow!

I’m sorry to hear that you have the flu, you poor girl. But I’m glad that you’re getting out of work and that you’ve got tomorrow off. Hope you feel better soon Kel.

I’m sorry you have the flu as well. We are currently in the Flu shot stage here. I never get one because every time I do, I get sicker than if I don’t.

Maybe you can buy your car drinks at the pub. It may help you get home.

Eeesh. How do you do it? Personally, there’s few things I hate more than being flu-ridden and drunk, if only for the whole trying to sleep thing: room spinning/gradual hangover kick in plus general yuckiness equals no fun whatsoever in my book.

    Stick with the Nightnurse, surely?!

Thanks all of the get well wishes!

Doug: My docs has run out of flu jab which is super annoying!

Huw: I always go straight to sleep after I’ve been drinking, so no such worry for me.
