A quick one this week as my head was fully in Petit Fromage mode and all about making things to sell. Sadly, I just sold one cushion on Saturday but it was a quiet day for everyone there so I am not taking it heart. I think I am a bit late to find any more craft fairs before Christmas but I have put my name down for a couple of waiting lists and I will go along to some and see what other people are selling and try and see if I think it would be worth continuing in the New Year.
As well as books littering my shelves I also have a few paper patterns. One in particular that I plan to use a couple times this year as presents is the Penny Pleat Bag from Owl and Sewing Cat (who I work for freelance). I used 2 fabrics from the Bella collection by Lotta Jansdotter for the outside of the bags and the straps and then I used a Michael Miller fabric for the inside. I just love those teeny anchors. It was meant to have piping detail along one seam on the front but I didn’t have piping cord and wanted to get the bag done.
I am really pleased with the outcome and have already cut a second bag using different fabrics for another present this year.
