The Gallery: Sunday Morning

October 9, 2013

This Sunday we all got up early, washed and brushed and generally made ourselves look presentable. We put on our Sunday best and went to a Christening. After the church but before we went to the party I took the kids into Grange Gardens to blow off a little steam after being so well behaved in church.

Not our usual Sunday morning but it had all the ingredients of my favourite Sundays. All of us together, our family. Being outside in Autumn, the sun shining. Having fun with our children. The best sort of Sunday morning.

This photo is out of focus and totally over exposed but it just captures that morning for me. I love the detail on her hand and the skirt. I love how she picked it up as she stomped along the wet grass. I love how she stepped out of the shadows and into the light for this one.

I can see why you love that photo 🙂

Just had a nosey at your happiness jar while I was here, I’m doing something similar this year called the gratitude project and filling a container with a note of a good thing every day. Some days it’s harder to find smiles than others but it does us good to focus on the positive 🙂

Sounds like a lovely way to spend a Sunday. My favourites are when we are all together as a family.
