Zippity Do Dah, Zippity Day!

January 6, 2006

My oh my what a wonderful day!

“Why are you so happy Kelly?” You might say.

“Is it because you are better?” No

“Is it because you have won the lottery?” No

“Is it because that today is the last day of Holidailies and you have managed to update your bloggy goodness every day for the last month?” YES!

So I am going to stuff myself with the wonderfulness that is the Feast of the Friday..

Have you ever seen a ghost or an angel?

What is your favorite board game?

Monopoly. I just love it. No one plays with me anymore (as I mentioned yesterday) as apparently I am too competitive (yeah, whatever….gimme hotels, hotel, buy, buy)

What was the last movie you saw that made you cry?

Oh I cry at everything! I cried at ER last night but the last movie must have been Gone With The Wind on New Year’s Day.

Main Course
What would you do if you had 3 months off from your job?

If I had the money I would travel round the States. There is so much that I really, really want to see and if I could possible get the chance I would love it. If I had no money I would hibernate.

What kind of shoes are you wearing today?

Boring black flats that I wear with trousers to work. When I got dressed this morning I had a real urge to wear my red Vans that match my jumper but I would get in trouble as no trainers allowed people!

I am still very ill though. When I called Dippy Mother yesterday she finished with the conversation with “don’t worry, it gets worse before it gets better” and darnit the woman was right. I was planning on staying home in bed today but it is Day 2 of giving up smoking and I am getting quite twitchy so I thought that if I came to work I would have something to do that would take my mind of it all. Hmmm, not sure if it is working but I have all weekend to lie about in bed anyway.

Now see talking about not smoking makes me want to smoke!

Hope you feel better and manage to stop smoking, I am stopping very soon, although mine is just a habit of social smoking to stop.

I found this website very useful.

i emailed my concerns to them, and where I thought I would fall down, and they gave me some really useful practical advice, I would advise emailing them, click on Ask an Expert on the page!

I emailed you the Coldplay song last night, hope you got it and put it on your iPod ok!

Hang in there with the not smoking thing. Just unload the entire bitchiness of the smoke cravings on your blog.

Oh yes, good luck with the giving up. And the getting better. And well done for doing the Holidailies thing.

Stupid Advice On Giving Up The Smoking: Everytime you want a cigarette, tell yourself that you will have one in ten minutes. It calms you down and stops you thinking about it, honestly fools your body into switching off the craving. If you repeat this everytime you need one it really, really works. Well, it did for me, anyway.

    You can do it!

The good advice I was giving through that website, is to keep a list of all the reasons I want to stop smoking in my wallet, like health problems, lack of money, smell etc put what you like.

The when you are in the pub, and crave a cigarette, pop to the loo, read the list for a few minutes. Cravings only last 10 minutes, so if it refreshes your mind why you don’t want to smoke, it will go away……hopefully
